Getting Started
Here you’ll find all the information you need to get your Airmega set up with Alexa. In this section, find out how to give your Airmega a nickname and pair your unit with Alexa.
Giving Your Airmega a Nickname
If you have more than one Airmega in your home, you will need to give each of your Airmega units a nickname in order to control them using Alexa. This name will be used every time you issue a command to Alexa. Below please find a list of valid nickname forms. These nicknames must be applied in order, so that the first nickname in the list identifies your first Airmega unit, while the second nickname in the list identifies your second, and so on. For example:
Airmega Red and Airmega Orange
Airmega Alpha and Airmega Bravo
Nickname orders that will not work are:
Airmega Bravo and Airmega Delta, because they are not in order of the NATO alphabet.
Nicknames are not “assigned” via the Airmega or Amazon Alexa app, but are called out verbally when giving a command. Alexa will know which unit you are referring to based on the order they are listed on your Airmega app.
NATO Alphabet
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliet
Planet Order
Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
Rainbow Spectrum
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet
